Mensch und Gesellschaft zwischen Natur und Geschichte: Zum Verhältnis von Philosophischer Anthropologie und Kritischer Theorie
In the historical perspective of the conference sustainable development can be said to imply certain anthropological notions of the conditio humana in combination with a critical approach to the development of society. Thereby the intellectual traditions of the 20th century as addressed during the conference are transferred in to a preeminent discourse of the 21st century on sustainable change in relation to History and Nature, one of the main concerns of CCP and a matter of reformative intellectual endeavor.

The conference dealt with different aesthetic and artistic practices yielding stasis. Stasis was conceived throughout the presentations as an epistemic break in the sense of establishing a disjunction or discontinuity in otherwise hegemonic regimes and dynamics of temporal perceptivity and analogously political action. The aesthetic-political analogy was discussed as a methodological device designed for the effectuation of change or transformation in arts, politics, and society from varying perspectives including from epistemology, ontology, political theory, visual and performing arts, and literature theory. A strong structural analogy to the problematic of transformation in CCP conveyed promising insights.
